Happiness in every sip
In the heart of Syros’ countryside, a modern winery breathes new life into the island’s long viticultural tradition. Here, rare Cycladic grape varieties such as Serifitiko and Fokiano are cultivated organically, thriving in the island’s dry soil and salty sea breeze. Behind the production stands a Scotsman who made Syros his second home — his personal story and love for the island even inspired the winery’s name, derived from the Phoenician root “Ousyra,” meaning “happy.” Visitors can stroll through the vineyards, learn about the winemaking process, and taste wines that capture, in every glass, the flavor, the light, and the essence of Syros.
